Social Responsibility Projects

The Social Responsibility Projects carried out by the esteemed academicians of our university and still in force are listed below. Such projects carried out jointly with municipalities, NGOs and other public institutions and organizations are also encouraged by our Rectorate. You, our esteemed academicians with project ideas, can get detailed information about the support calls of the supporting organizations from the Project Supports page.

Our university attaches great importance to 1) physical development, 2) strengthening the academic staff, 3) increasing the quality and preference rate of students, 4) continuous updating of education programs in integration with the real world and we are taking concrete steps in this direction.

In this context, we have made great progress in the construction of permanent buildings and construction processes. We have increased the quality of education through laboratories and classrooms equipped with the latest technology. We have established a dynamic academic staff with an average age of 39 and closely following the scientific developments in the world. By making changes in the appointment and promotion criteria, we have put the condition of participating in social projects and contributing to society in academic recruitment processes. We have signed protocols with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Istanbul Provincial Mufti's Office, Municipalities, District Governorships and non-governmental organizations in many areas in order to socialize students and intertwine with society, and we continue to carry out projects together.

Some of the projects we have realized are as follows:

We Added Participation in Social Responsibility Projects and Contribution to Society to the Criteria for Appointment and Promotion

As an example of our activities that stand out within the scope of education, which we have built with the understanding of service to society, we have made changes in our criteria for promotion and appointment criteria for our academics who will prefer our university; We gave points to the criteria of participating in social responsibility projects and contributing to society. Thus, we encourage our academics to be useful and contribute to society.

We Give Diploma Supplement to Our Students

At the undergraduate level, in addition to the regular diploma, we provide our students with a "Diploma Supplement" that will reveal the social contributions, skills and competencies of the students and allow them to be measured. Our goal is to reshape the student's understanding of education. Again, with this goal, the social activities and community contributions realized by our students are to gain the student as a qualification during the education period. In addition, our students will be able to document the social work they have done during their university education after graduation and while entering the business life.

We will also open elective courses called "volunteering" for our students in education. The content of these courses will be designed to encourage students to develop and implement voluntary social projects. Our goal is to reshape the student's understanding of education. Again, with this goal, the social activities carried out by our students and their contributions to society will be stated in the diploma supplement document that they will receive with their diplomas when they graduate.
