In order to develop innovation, which is the main factor in today's global competition, it is necessary to increase the R&D and innovation capacity of universities. Based on this idea, the main purpose of the Project Development and Coordination Office established under the Rectorate of Istanbul Medeniyet University is to investigate support opportunities for national and international research, various projects and activities that add benefit to economic life and to provide guidance.

The main functions of the unit have been expanded; to ensure national and international cooperation and inter-institutional communication through research and scientific projects on behalf of Istanbul Medeniyet University; to contribute to the planning and organization of activities that increase the national and international recognition of our university. In addition to the coordination activities in the execution of national and international projects; it organizes information, trainings, information days and seminars on national and international project resources, research funds and support opportunities for our academicians and other partners.

Our Coordination Office also monitors and archives actual and past national and international project applications and provides consultancy and support services to researchers in project applications, project phases and finalizations.
