FutureFoodS 2024 Yılı Çağrısı Açıldı

The European Partnership for a Sustainable Future of Food Systems (FutureFoodS) is an innovative European partnership that aims to transform Europe's food production and consumption processes into more sustainable and resilient systems. This partnership brings together leading experts, research institutions, businesses and decision-makers to develop joint solutions to the complex challenges facing our food systems, such as climate change, biodiversity loss and food security.

The FutureFoodS Partnership's first internationally co-funded call is now open. The call focuses on the topics of ‘Transforming Food Systems – reshaping food system interactions, promoting food innovation and empowering sustainable food choices’. This call brings together 36 funding organisations from 19 different countries, including TÜBİTAK from our country, and provides up to €40 million in joint funding to support innovative research and development projects aimed at creating a sustainable food future.

The call topics are listed below.

Topic 1: Moving towards sustainable and resilient food systems

Topic 2: Novel foods – encouraging innovation in food design, processing and supply through the reorientation of demand and supply

Topic 3: Strengthening sustainable food choices – enabling food environments and dietary changes

Project proposals prepared under this call must comply with the international call application conditions, selecting at most one of the above topics. 

The international consortium submitting the project must consist of three different partners funded by at least three different countries participating in the call. Deadline for submitting international project proposals to the Call Secretariat: 15 January 2024 (13:00 CET)

Deadline for Phase 1 project proposals for TÜBİTAK national application: 23 January 2025 (23:59 TSİ)

Deadline for e-signature processes for Phase 1 proposals for TÜBİTAK national application: 28 January 2024 (23:59, Turkish Standard Time)

Deadline for submitting Phase 2 proposals to the Call Secretariat: 9 July 2025 (13:00, Central European Summer Time)
