Our activities

Within the scope of Horizon Europe calls, two project proposals on "Green Ammonia synthesis and Hydrogen fueled engine production" and "Double rotor vertical axis rooftop wind turbine" are being prepared for the CET Partnership call. Previously, an application was made to 1 Horizon Europe call.

PILOT GREEN LABORATORY APPLICATION: THE CASE OF ISTANBUL MEDENİYET UNIVERSITY BİLTAM

With our Guided BAP project carried out under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasin Karagöz, it is aimed to realize energy production by installing a solar panel with an installed power of 20 - 25 kW on the terrace section of BİLTAM building. In this way, 84 trees will be prevented from being cut down annually and 12.92 tons/year carbon emission will be prevented. When our project is realized, it is foreseen to save 3937 $ / year. An electric vehicle equipped with gel batteries will also be built within the scope of our project. In this way, a vehicle powered by clean energy will be used for on-campus document transfer. In this way, our university will go one step further towards becoming a green campus, gaining prestige and increasing the recognition of our university. Work continues within the scope of the project.

A project proposal for indoor air quality measurement and monitoring is under preparation to be submitted to TÜSEB.

We currently have 4 BAP-supported guided projects in force and these are "Rainwater collection project", "Smart gazebo", "Wind turbine", "Equipping the roof of Biltam building with solar panels and production of electric on-campus vehicles".

So far, 2 applications have been made to ERA-Net calls and a new application is being prepared.
Other EU supports are followed up and project ideas are evaluated with potential stakeholders.

Two project proposals within the scope of ISTKA are in the writing stage.
We continue to work with many companies within the scope of university-industry cooperation.
We continue our researches to become an implementing organization where applications will be made within the scope of the Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG).

The 2nd World Energy Storage Conference, where our team is also a member of the organizing committee, will be held on 18-21 December 2022.

As a result of the work carried out in coordination with the Patent Development Office, 4 patent applications were made, 2 national and 2 international, and the preliminary searches were positive.
